Avril Lavigne: Britney Spears shouldn’t blame media for problems

Avril Lavigne has suggested that Britney Spears shouldn’t blame the paparazzi for her recent problems because the media is such a core part of being famous - the problems really lie closer to home.

Avril said recently: “What’s happened to Britney Spears is all down to who she is as a person. If you want a piece of this business you have to be able to deal with it.”

“You can’t complain about the pressures, the paparazzi, the madness because that’s the job.”

She added that Britney Spears must have chosen to party in the public eye because she likes to go out drinking too but “no one really gets to know”.
