Britney gets an online makeover

It appears the Britney Spears resurrection project is officially underway.

Well, at least online it is.
Britney has given a minor facelift to BritneySpears.com, placing a prominent photo of a young Brit sprawled across the page.

The photo of an upside-down, scantily clad Spears (reminiscent of her Rolling Stone cover shoot from the late ’90s) is accompanied by the words: “New Official Site Coming Soon!”

The mini makeover could be the first step in what might very well be a long process of restoring her image as an international icon.

From Jason Alexander to K-Fed (and let’s not forget Isaac Cohen and J.R. Rotem).

From Sean P. to Jayden James.

From blonde to black to no hair at all… and rehab not once, or twice, but thrice, Britney has certainly taken a heavy fall from grace from the preening pop star who once ruled the pop world.

Maybe this is a sign she’s ready to return to her glory days, But making us forget about her recent travails will be no easy task.
