When Britney Spears shaved off her hair, Celebrity Babylon knew she would once again start a trend in Hollywood, and beyond. How many other women are going to go into salons across the country or world for that matter, and ask for the “Bald Britney?”
Stars have been shaving their heads for movie roles for years, Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta, (2005), and Demi Moore in G.I. Jane, (1997), but Britney’s bald moment came at a point of despair and sheer impulse. We noticed that for whatever reason she did it, we’re kind of getting used to it. While she has a thick neck, her head is perfectly proportioned and looks pretty good. Stars like Jennifer Aniston and Farrah Fawcett have JennifAnistonand Farrah Fawcett have become famous over night, thanks to their hair, yet they seem to resent the attention it gets. Aniston, 38, resented her “Rachel” hairdo, almost as soon as stylist and pal Chris McMillan created it for her! Pal Matthew Perry used to say at Friends’ press junkets and interviews, “Ask Jen about her hair, she LOVES that!”
Since she was so unhappy with the spotlight on her famous mane, maybe she should have pulled a Britney and shaved it all off; then maybe we would have noticed her acting talent instead of counting the number of highlights on her head!
