The dentist who treated BRITNEY SPEARS earlier this week is opening up to ET.
DR. BILL DORFMAN confirms that while Brit was not in to see him today, she did visit for routine dental work and teeth whitening earlier this week. The doc is the pop princess’ regular dentist, and he says, “Britney is just trying to get a normal life back together, she’s being a mom, going to the dentist, getting her teeth whitened like everyone else in Hollywood — she’s as happy as could be.”
The doc tells us that the pop star didn’t bring her kids.
Britney set off a paparazzi frenzy last Sunday when she visited Dr. Dorfman’s office at a Los Angeles-area hospital.
The mom of two walked into the emergency room, was there for over an hour and then left.
When Britney was seen arriving at the hospital, some speculated that it was due to a dental emergency. A spokesperson for Spears has not yet confirmed the news.
Sources tell us that Britney visited Los Angeles restaurant, Barefoot, earlier in the day.
Last week, she checked out of rehab after nearly a month at Promises residential treatment center in Malibu, CA.
Britney “has been released by the Promises Malibu Treatment Center after successfully completing their program,” her manager, LARRY RUDOLPH, said in a statement last week.
Britney reportedly had a difficult time in rehab because she was forced to go.
“Britney originally agreed to go to rehab so she could see her children, otherwise she would not have gone,” Us Weekly Editor KATRINA SZISH told us earlier this month.
So what’s next for Britney?
Shortly after she filed for divorce on November 6th, her hubby KEVIN FEDERLINE responded with his own filing, saying that he wanted custody of their two young boys, JAYDEN JAMES and SEAN PRESTON. Los Angeles courts granted the couple joint custody until the end of February.
Kevin has been taking care of the children since Britney entered Promises late last month, teaming up with Britney’s mom to watch over the tots. He has reportedly been supportive of her recovery and took the children to visit her in rehab on a number of occasions this past month.
