Britney Spears Doesn’t Nee Joe Help

Britney Spears must have been incredibly insulted to find out that Jessica Simpson’s dad, Joe Simpson, made a statement claiming he would be willing to manage Britney Spears’ career in order to help her get back on track. Joe has led both Jessica and Ashlee to highly successful careers in the entertainment industry and is not hesitant to take credit for his work. Joe has been referred to as a ’controlling’ and ‘demanding’ manager and it’s hard to imagine someone like Britney voluntarily putting herself in that type of situation.  So what makes Joe Simpson so arrogant to think that someone with Britney’s stature would even need his help? Joe’s reasoning for the outreach stems from Britney’s recent rehab situation and her inability to stabilize her career.

Whether or not Britney Spears will accept the offer is still in the air. Anyone who knows Britney will probably agree that she likes to do things her own way and would rather see her career go plummeting to the ground than have Jessica Simpson’s dad manager her. Britney is significantly more successful than Jessica Simpson or Ashlee Simpson. The fact that Joe would even have the nerve to try and help her is somewhat of a smack in the face. I can’t help but think that his gesture was meant more as an insult and less as an attempt of good will. The fact that he is even putting Britney on the same playing field as Jessica Simpson must be insulting to the pop princess. This man will stop at nothing to make a few extra dollars.

But for now, this story remains a rumor. In fact, Jessica Simpson’s rep denies any reports that Joe tried to set up a meeting with Britney Spears over the weekend.
