Britney Spears was recently bashed all over the media for stopping for a burger at McDonalds on her way home from the dance studio yesterday. Fast food is a billion dollar industry with millions of consumers all over the world. Can someone please explain why Britney is being shred to pieces because she stopped for a burger after a long dance class where she sweat off calories and tried to get into shape. True, it probably wasn’t the best idea - but give the girl a break.
In the words of NationalLedger.com “after sinking a calorie laden Red Bull and smoking 20 cigarettes, Brit couldn’t break the habit of a lifetime and stopped off at McDonalds on her way home”.
First of all, it’s highly unlikely that Britney smoked 20 cigarettes on the way home so there’s no need to over exaggerate. Second of all, she’s been known to work over 20 hours a day - dancing on top of that definitely justifies a red bull every once in a while. And as for the highly profiled trip to McDonalds - we’re all guilty of indulging every once in a while.
Britney’s body looks good after having 2 children in just over 2 years. Yes, the smoking may not be the healthiest but with the stress she deals with on a daily basis it’s no wonder she’s not smoking more.
It’s undeniable that Britney will be criticized from time to time for her poor decisions. But to openly criticize her for eating a hamburger is inexcusable and just plain rude.
Do me a favor, next time you read articles like the one in The Sun, please leave a comment that says “It was just a burger - give the girl a break”.
